OXETACAINE+SUCRALFATE is used to treat gastric ulcers or gastric ulcers. It usually treats heartburn, indigestion, hyperacidity, and stomach inflammation. The stomach is usually protected from acid with soft water. For some reason, excessive acid causes dehydration, leading to complications such as acidosis and heartburn. Peptic ulcers are ulcers in the lining of the stomach or the first part of the small intestine. Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: OXETACAINE+SUCRALFATE antacid drug (aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide), anti-HIV drug (dolutegravir), vitamin D analogs (doxercalciferol, paricalcitol), antibiotic (ciprofloxacin, gemifloxacin, levofloxacin), antidiabetic (acarbose, metformin, glipizide, glimepiride, glyburide), blood thinner (warfarin).

Drug and Food Interaction: alcohol and nicotine (tobacco) in combination with OXETACAINE+SUCRALFATE may cause dehydration and increased stomach acid levels which reduces the effectiveness of Sucralfate and Oxetacaine Oral Suspension. 

Special Tips to Follow With Sucralfate and Oxetacaine Oral Suspension

  • Take on an empty stomach, at least 1 to 2 hours after a meal.
  • Avoid taking anything immediately after taking this medication as it may reduce its effects
  • It helps treat heartburn, acidity, and stomach ulcers.
  •  Antacids should not be taken half an hour before or after taking this medication.
  • It can cause seizures. Drink plenty of water and eat high-calorie foods. if it is severe or doesn’t go away tell your doctor.
