Azithromycin tablets are prescribed for the treatment of a range of bacterial infections. The medicine is effective in the treatment of bacterial infections in the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and eyes in adults and children. It is also useful in treating typhoid fever and some sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea.
