Description

Bilastine and Montelukast Tablets are used to treat allergic symptoms, such as sneezing, congestion, stuffy nose, runny nose, or watery eyes. This medicine is made of two effective drugs: Bilastine and Montelukast. Bilastine is in a class of medicines known as antihistamines that functions by inhibiting the action of histamine which is responsible for causing allergic reactions. It relieves allergy symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, itching, congestion, swelling, and stiffness.

Montelukast belongs to a class of drugs known as leukotriene receptor antagonists. It works by inhibiting the action of leukotrienes released from the lungs. They increase mucus production in the airways and cause inflammation. With the inhibition of leukotrienes, Montelukast reduces inflammation, narrowing in the airways, and mucus production.
