Information about Mupirocin 2% USP:

Mupirocin is used in the treatment of a particular skin infection named Impetigo. This is a highly common transmissible skin infection that only targets kids like infants and children below 12 years. This is a bacterial infection named streptococcus pyogenes and staphylococcus aureus.  This bacteria increase in the body of the patient and raise the infection.  These bacteria can infect any body part of the patient.

Mupirocin is an antibiotic ointment. It decreases the infection by killing the bacteria which are the reason for infected skin. This ointment helps by stopping the creation of proteins for bacteria which is the main cause of spreading the infection.  It also helps to decrease the activeness of Gram-negative organisms like Haemophilus influenza and Escherichia coli.
